Hope ya’ll had a good one! I had 2 weeks of doing very little, mostly hanging out with my cousins and playing dark souls(I’ll be the first to admit i have a problem with how in to that game I am). In the past few days I realised I probably needed to ease back in to doing something constructive so I did some painting, like, real painting with paint and brushes and no computers! I think I should probably do it more often cause it’s pretty relaxing :)

Book stuff

Hey again! Sorry for another long absence, I’m pretty rubbish at being a human sometimes. So, anyway, since i last posted i’ve written and illustrated a little kids book! It’s not published or anything yet (long story short harper collins were ‘going to’ publish it before they decided to ignore our emails) so anyway, as a ‘sorry-for-not-posting-anything-in-ages’ gift here’s a page for you :) oh yeah it’s of my student film about an emo bear…

I was keeping it all secret so that i could reveal it when it got published and i made lots of money (ha!) but as i don’t think that’s going to happen it seems a shame for it to just be sat on my computer doing nothing.

Clive Aid

Hey look, i did some real life painting at an opening night party thing for a new recording studio in Durham called Rocking Horse. Hooray!

There’s some more pictures on the Empty Shop website if you’re interested in taking a peek at the other artists things, I even filmed a (very low quality) time lapse of the night that I’ll post up at some point. xPeaceoutx

I’ve never really done anything like this before but it’s been a long time since i’ve done some art for art’s sake, so i thought i’d take the time each day to do something and post it up on here. I’m hopefully gonna be following a challenge you can check out here so we’ll see how that goes :D

Anyway, here’s day 1 of 30:

‘draw yourself’

day 2:

‘fav animal’

smiley friendly dogs :)

day 3:

‘fav food’

Simple and cheap and nommy to the max.

(by the way Im very super sorry for the gap between day 2 + 3 miraculously lasting a few weeks, I’ve been very busy *slaps wrist*)

I’ll probably just update this post with new images rather than clogging up peoples rss feeds (i mean, if anyone actually has this junk in an rss feed…)

This video is mint! Pity the song blows though, amiright?

I wasn’t so sure about the old tshirt design, was abit poop, so i made this the other day! Gonna screen print it myself so there’ll be lots love sqeegee’d into each one C: Whatcha think?

oof!

Still trying to sort out a good shirt to print this on. American apparel is the obvious choice but that’s alittle out of my price range right now :C Im saving up my pennies to fix my poorly macbook, d’aww.

I’ve got a friend called Simon who makes stupid -and by that i mean amazing- dance music with fruity loops under the guise ‘Dead friends’. So anyways, last night we challenged each other to make a song that samples this beautiful video:

It took a while cause my laptop is goosed and tends to crash whenever i play on garageband, but here’s my offering:

punch the air if you feel the need.

Donkey by CptWashy

this is dead friends soundcloud by the way, well worth a listen if you can stomach it.

Hiii, sorry it’s been a while since I last posted, my face burns with shame :(

Anyway, there’s A new exhibition i’m taking part in really soon with the empty shop crew and some new friends which should be pretty fun, here’s a poster for you to do a look at:

Just  a thought, what would people think about me turning this into a proper tee? Might need a bit more work but I kinda like it C:

It’s kinda obvious to anyone living in the north of England at the moment but it’s been snowing like crazy the past few days, which means i’ve had a class weekend of sknowboarding (skateboard – trucks + snow  = sknowboarding btw, just incase i talk about it later) and other snow related awesomeness. But now that the weekend’s over and i want to get to work it’s pretty sucky!

I woke up thismorning naively presuming that it would all be gone and i could skip my merry way to Shoo-Fly but when i opened the curtains and peered into the blackness it didnt take me long to realize there’s at least a foot of snow out there! AND it’s still coming down! AND AND there was just some thunder and lightning! Madness.

“Oh my dog, more snows?”

Seeing as I’m payed day by day rather than being on a contract I thought it would make more sense to just take today off and pick the days up again when the weather is less stoopid and the busses are running again (well, they probably are but it’ll take flippin ages to get to sunderland, on a good day it takes an hour, you do the foresight)

So today i think i’m gonna take my lapptop and cintiq to my parents house round the corner and set up camp doing some creative stoof, I’d quite like to put some stuff up on etsy so that could be my job for today! Maybe i can make some Tshirts yeah?!

In other news I was interviewed by a lady from an online magazine the other day, it was pretty fun but i was nervous so i think i ended up talking about Brian Eno far too much, which is strange because i dont even like Brian Eno that much. Fyi the name morning skyrail came from a conversation me and Brian (Gocher, not Eno) were having while i was listening to music for airports. Aaaaanyway, you can check out the interview HERE

Hey, is it just me or did this post end up coming out like an actual blog post, like by people who blog about their lives!? I’ve never really done that before.

Peace
